1. Data we collect

 • Account data: email address (and, if you sign in with Google, your public name and avatar). Collected at sign-up.
 • Resume content: professional information you enter or that we extract from a PDF you upload (name, experience, education, skills, etc.). Stored in structured form for as long as your account is active.
 • Usage data: events related to your activity in the application (resume creation, downloads, job searches, template used), linked to your account. Used to improve the service and measure its effectiveness.
 • Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment provider (an authorised European operator). We never have access to card numbers or banking details.

2. How we use your data

 • To authenticate you and keep your session active.
 • To generate, store and serve back your formatted resumes.
 • To display the history of your resumes and applications in your dashboard.
 • To process payments and issue invoices via our payment provider.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We never use the content of your resume to train artificial intelligence models.

3. Sub-processors

 • Hosting and database — cloud provider operating in Europe (EU). Your data is stored on European servers.
 • File storage — cloud provider for the encrypted storage of your generated PDFs.
 • AI processing — an AI provider processes the text of your resume to structure it, rewrite it or assess its match with a job offer. No data is used for training.
 • Payment and billing — authorised provider that handles payment and collects VAT on our behalf (Merchant of Record). A complete named list of our sub-processors is available on request via our contact page.

4. Retention and deletion

You can delete individual resumes from your dashboard at any time. To completely delete your account and all associated data, contact us via our contact page — requests are processed within 30 days. Billing records may be retained longer where French law requires it (10 years for accounting documents).

5. Cookies

We only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to function (authentication, session). No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking, no invasive behavioural analytics.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

If you reside in the European Union or EEA, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, and obtain a portable copy of your data. You may also withdraw your consent at any time and lodge a complaint with the CNIL. To exercise these rights, contact us via our contact page.

7. Data controller and contact

Data controller: cvlife. For any question regarding your personal data, the exercise of your rights, or to obtain the list of our sub-processors, contact us via our contact page. We commit to responding within 30 days.
